Optometrist and doctoral researcher
Annamari Immonen is an optometrist and doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki. With an MSc degree in Clinical Optometry from Salus University, Philadelphia, United States, she has gained 8 years of experience working in the pediatric Ophthalmology Service at the Helsinki University Hospital.
As doctoral researcher, she’s been involved in different eye care research studies at the university hospital and has contributed to various publications. Currently, her research focuses on rare genetic corneal diseases that affect both children and adults in Finland.
