Jakob Grauslund

Jakob Grauslund is a Clinical Professor, Head of Research, and Chief Physician at Odense University Hospital and the University of Southern Denmark. Specialising in diabetic retinopathy, he completed his PhD and doctoral thesis on the subject and has since dedicated his career to advancing this field. His work encompasses screening, treatment, artificial intelligence, telemedicine, epidemiology, and register-based research. As the main author of the Danish guidelines for diabetic retinopathy, Jakob is recognised among the top 10 global experts in the disease. He has published 209 papers and supervised 76 undergraduate and PhD students, significantly advancing eye care and research.
