Matti Seppänen

Matti Seppänen is Head of Ophthalmology at the Finnish organisation Terveystalo, the largest private health care service provider – with over 360 clinics in Finland and 120 clinics in Sweden offering a wide variety of health care, specialised care and well-being services. He’s a licensed physician (M.D.) and specialised in ophthalmology.

As an editor of the Finnish Association of Science Editors and Journalists and content writer at Kustannus Oy Duodecim, a publishing house specialising in medicine, he has written several articles and handbook. He has been the chief editor of the Handbook of Ophthalmology, which includes essential guidelines for ophthalmological diagnostic, treatment and drug therapy, as well as detailed guides for eye surgery.
