Penny-Lane Levine
Optometrist at Louis Nielsen/Specsavers
Biography
Penny-Lane Levine works as an optometrist at Louis Nielsen (Specsavers’ brand name in Denmark) in Randers. She graduated from the Danish College of Optometry & Visual Science back in 2009.
During her time at the Kontaktlinse Instituttet in Aarhus, Denmark, she discovered her passion for fitting a wide range of different types of contact lenses. In this period, she participated in several courses about fitting multifocal lenses and joined the Johnson and Johnson seminar in Prague.
Penny-Lane has experience in different Danish optical chains, among others CrossEyes. She has owned the CrossEyes branch in Aalborg, establishing it from the start and creating a store with many loyal customers.
In 2018, she joined Louis Nielsen, and she’s currently working in the store in Randers. She won the NCLF Award for ‘Best Optician in Denmark’ in 2020, mainly because of her good work with fitting and managing contact lenses. In the past years, she has specialised in fitting mini-scleral lenses for patients with irregular cornea, post-laser cornea surgery and keratoconus patients.
Penny-Lane is a passionate optometrist, and is excited that Louis Nielsen Randers is selected at one of the test stores for Louis Nielsen’s myopia management programme.
