Biography
Svein Willassen is the founder of Confrere AS – a safe video calling tool for healthcare practitioners.
Before starting Confrere, Svein was the founder and CEO of appear.in – today known as Whereby. After succeeding with appear.in Svein made a breakthrough as he introduced a whole new way of using video tools to the healthcare sector. In 2017, he founded Confrere AS, which became his first exposure to working within the healthcare sector.
Prior to Confrere, he worked many years with the development of software and digital services, both in large organisations and in start-ups he has co-founded. He has gained a strong theoretical background with a PhD in Digital Forensics and has varied practical experience from Software Engineering, with a focus on the development of communication services, forensic tools and development for mobile platforms.
During Clinical Conference 2020, Svein participated as a speaker in a clinical talk. The talk is available here on Viewpoint.
