Biography
Tina Alvær started her career as an optical assistant at Specsavers Nottingham in 2005. Shortly after, she got her bachelor’s degree in optometry. In 2011, she decided to study economics and finance at the University of Oslo and dedicate time to her passion for politics.
She became president of the oldest political student organisation in Norway and a board member of the Conservative party. Tina started working as a consultant, but she never left the world of optometry.
Every Saturday, she worked as an optician, and in 2020, she took on the role of managing director of the trade organisation Synsinformasjon. The organisation represents over 500 optician stores. Its purpose is to improve the members’ work conditions and ability to offer good eye care services.
