A 61-year-old female presents at your clinic complaining of a blurry spot in her right eye. The patient has a history of myopia spanning several years and has been using corrective measures such as contact lenses and glasses. Her glasses are prescribed with a refractive correction of -4.00 diopters sphere (dsph) for each eye. Her intraocular pressure measurements are found to be within normal limits. Visual acuity test shows 6/18 in the right eye and 6/7.5 in the left.
