Øygunn Utheim
Senior Consultant, specialising in retinal diseases and uveitis, Oslo University Hospital
Øygunn Utheim is a Senior Consultant at Oslo University Hospital, specialising in retinal diseases and uveitis. In addition to her hospital role, she co-manages a private practice, the Eye Health Clinic, with her colleagues. Øygunn also lectures on uveitis and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) at the University of South-Eastern Norway. Having earned her PhD in 2018, she is currently supervising three PhD candidates. Her expertise lies in both neovascular and particularly dry AMD, where she provides treatment using Valeda photo biomodulation at her clinic, while actively conducting research on this innovative therapy.
