Slit lamp observation with Volk-lenses.
Hosted by: InnZ Medical
There are several Volk lenses available for use with the slit lamp. They are either high magnification for details or wide-angle lenses so observe a large area. This session presents various possibilities and sheds light on optimum use to get maximum benefit out of the Volk lenses. In a nutshell, expand your field of view and focus on the details.
Speaker: Ingrid Leidner
OCT-based diagnosis of neovascular AMD and geographic atrophy – referral, practice, and future perspectives.
Hosted by: Roche Norge AS
A key responsibility for an optometrist is to identify and refer suspected cases of eye diseases. To be able to refer AMD at the right time, and to the right place, you need to know what kinds of treatments are available. Dr Øygunn Aass Utheim (NO) will explain which treatments are available for two common subtypes of AMD, where OCT is key to differentiating between them. She will also touch on the direction of travel for future AMD treatment.
