Where do the in-person conferences take place?

The venues for the five countries are:

  • Denmark 23 September: Nyborg Strand Hotel, Østerøvej 2, 5800 Nyborg 
  • Norway 24 September: Clarion HUB Hotel, Biskop Gunnerus’ Gate 3, 0155 Oslo 
  • Finland 8 October: Messukeskus (Helsinki Expo Center), Holiday Inn Hotel, Rautatieläisenkatu 3, 00520 Helsinki  
  • Netherlands 13 October: Jaarbeurs, Jaarbeursplein, 3521 AL Utrecht 
  • Sweden 10 November: Clarion Sign Hotel, Östra Järnvägsgatan 33, 101 26 Stockholm

At what time do the in-person conferences take place?

  • Denmark: 10.00 – 16.45 (CEST) – registration & exhibition opens at 09.00  
  • Norway: 10.00 – 16.45 (CEST) – registration & exhibition opens at 09.00  
  • Finland: 10.00 – 16.15 (EEST) – registration & exhibition opens at 09.00 
  • Netherland: 10.00 – 16.15 (CEST) – registration & exhibition opens at 09.00 
  • Sweden: 09.45 – 17.00 (CEST) – registration & exhibition opens at 09.00 

EEST for the Finnish programme and CEST for the Danish, Norwegian, the Netherlands and Swedish programmes. 

What time does the online conference start?

Please find the programme schedule to determine the starting times for various sessions in each country. Remember that the times listed in the programme are in their respective local time zones; EEST for the Finnish programme and CEST for the Norwegian, Danish and Swedish programmes. 

Please notice that in the Netherlands the programme will not be online. 

How do I register when I enter the venue?

The registration opens at 09.00 am. When arriving you will need to show your QR-code, which you have received approximately one week before the conference. This QR-code is your access key to the venue. 

After scanning, we will print your personal badge on-site. If you encounter any complications with your registration, you will find a helpdesk nearby. 

How do I attend the online conference?

If you have signed up for one of our online Clinical Conferences 2024, you will receive an email including a link, 30-60 minutes before the conference starts. You can look at the programme to see which sessions you would like to attend. 

Please notice that there will be no online conference for the Netherlands. 

Will I receive any practical information or updates by mail prior to the conference?

Yes, when you sign up, we will send all practical information and updates leading up to the conference. If you haven’t received anything one week before the conference, please check your spam folder.

Do I get my accreditation/CET points for attending the in-person and online conference?

During the in-person conference in Denmark, you’ll be able to register your OBES number at the help desk to get your CET points. If you registered your OBES number when signing up for the conference, you’ll get the points automatically.

During the in-person conference in Norway, and the online conferences in both Denmark and Norway, we’ll display QR-codes on the screen that you can use to apply for your accreditation points for the different sessions. This only applies to participants working in Norway and Denmark.

If you’re an optometrist working in Sweden, please be aware that it’s necessary that you download and register in the Optikerförbundet app before attending the conference. You can find the full guide to obtaining your CET points in this document from Optikbranschen (in Swedish).

What if I could not apply for accreditation/CET points during the conference?

If you have not applied for your accreditation/CET points during the in-person or online conference in Denmark or Norway, you can email us at confe*****@**ecsavers.com. We will be happy to assist you further. 

I cannot attend the in-person conference, what should I do?

If you are unable to attend the in-person conference, you should release your spot yourselfIn your confirmation mail, there is a link for cancelling your sign-up. If any difficulties, please contact confe*****@**ecsavers.com. Preferably no later than 14 days prior to the conference. 

I have issues entering the online conference, what should I do?

We will announce a hotline number in the email including the link for the online conference. 

Can I join the online conference on my smartphone or tablet? 

Yes, you can attend the online conference on any device you like, including your smartphone or tablet.

Where and how can I ask questions to a speaker at the in–person and online conference?

At our in-person conference you can always ask questions to the speaker in the plenary room. We have secured sufficient time for questions after their speak. There will be staff in the room with microphones who can assist you. 

 You can also ask questions to our speakers using Slido on your smartphone, either through the Slido app or your browser. More information will be provided on the day. If you’d like to be prepared, you can download the Slido app in advance. (though it’s not required to ask questions). You also have the option to submit your questions anonymously.  

For our online audience, you will receive instructions on how to ask questions when you receive your link, 30-60 minutes before the conference. 

Please notice that online audience in Denmark will not be able to ask questions.

I had to log off in the middle of a session. Can I re-watch it somewhere after the conference? 

Some sessions will be available on demand on Viewpoint after the conference. However, not all sessions are recorded and made available. We’ll provide more information once the conference has concluded. 

Will there be filmed and taken photos during the in-person conference?

Yes, we’ll be taking photographs and videos throughout the day at the Clinical Conference to promote the event and Specsavers’ professional development in the future, both online and in print. By signing up for the conference, you consent to being photographed/filmed.
